Kelly’s Landing Marina will be hosting a hands-on workshop given by the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
This class will cover kinds of ropes, making up line, knots, bends and hitches, splices, securing lines and dipping the eye. You will be given a rope to practice during the workshop tying a number of these knots, bends, and hitches.
We will also be reviewing the best way to use dock lines to secure your boat in different weather situations. We recommend this class for new boaters and as a refresher for the seasoned boaters.
